There’s a white version of Cenizo (Leucophyllum frutescens)?? I must have eet.
These were found in the hell strip area of a shopping center of all places. And there were only a few of the white variety surrounded by the more commonly found purple. 
Here’s the traditional purple in the background. 
**These pics were taken about two weeks ago…before we were water bombed with over 13 inches of rain.

I know! I definitely need to find a supplier or at least a drive-by cutting…surely the bank where it’s growing won’t miss a stem or two 😉

It sparkles, doesn’t it? I usually prefer colorful flowers to white, but in this case I like the white with the cool silver foliage.

It looked like it was glowing from a distance and I couldn’t figure out why until I was driving past and saw the flowers!

The white Cenizo did a particularly wonderful flowering this August. I have one which I bought several years ago at Vivero nursery. And it is about to flower again!
